Product Overview:
This valve consists of a main valve and an externally mounted pilot control valve.It is primarily installed in the bypass of the protected water supply system in buildings to safeguard the pressure in the upstream supply zone of the main valve.When the pressure in the water supply pipeline exceeds the set pressure of the pressure relief valve, the relief valve opens to prevent pipelines and equipment from being damaged due to overpressure. This valve is mainly used for pressure relief in fire protection test circulation systems of high-rise buildings and is an upgraded replacement for spring-type safety valves.
Installation Requirements:
● A strainer must be installed upstream of the pressure relief/sustaining valve.
● During adjustment,the screw on the pilot valve should be unscrewed outward. Start the pump to allow water to discharge through the relief valve,then gradually screw in the adjusting screw to slowly increase the pressure until the desired set pressure is reached. After adjustment,tighten the lock nut.
