Mining

The mining industry consumes a large amount of water for: ore washing and flotation.separating useful minerals and unwanted gangue. Many minerals such as iron, coal, phosphate, diamond, zinc, uranium, sand, etc. use this process.

At this time, the flocculant can be used to:
Separating water from gangue to facilitate water reuse;
Dewatering the sludge formed by gangue sedimentation;

If the useful mineral is suspended in water, separate it from the water.

During the process, the metal mineral is sometimes dissolved in an acid or a base. At this time, the undissolved impurities are flocculated by the flocculant, and the metal isrecovered as a hydroxide or a salt. The above processes are commonly used as nonionicor anionic flocculants. Nonionic flocculants are often used in acidic or high salt solutions.

The following table is some of the main application examples.

MINERAL SPHEROIDIZED BINDER:

With the help of a flocculant, fine wet mineral particles are rolled in a pelletizer and bonded in to pellets. Green's product emulsion EM-9 series is used for this purpose.
Dispersion: A mineral such as clay, calcium carbonate or titanium dioxide is suspended in water with a low molecular weight,high anionic flocculant, or sent to a grinding.
